Ingredient

  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes (optional)

Method

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant (do not brown).
  2. Stir in the honey, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and vinegar (or lemon juice). Mix well.
  3. Add black pepper and chili flakes if using.
  4. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly reduced.
  5. Brush over steak during the last few minutes of cooking or spoon over rested steak before serving.
