Method
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add ketchup, bourbon, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, onion powder, and cayenne (if using). Stir until smooth.
- Bring to a gentle simmer, reduce heat to low, and cook for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened and glossy.
- Taste and adjust salt, pepper, or sweetness. Serve warm as a glaze or dipping sauce for grilled meats.
