Luke Leyson is returning to New Zealand to speak at a major NZ Butchers Conference in Queenstown this May.
One of our longest-serving and skilled butchers, Luke is no stranger to representing Goodwood Quality Meats on the local, national and international stage, having competed across the world and bring home a number of major awards. Luke is an accredited small goods maker and has a Diploma in meat Processing. He has also been awarded the Best Retail Butcher Shop for 4 years running.
At the Retail Meat New Zealand Butchers’ Summit 2020, Luke will be a presenter sharing knowledge gained at the side of some of the greats in our business. Luke manages our social media campaigns and also is active in training and teaching skills across the board from cooking to preparing meats.
Luke is part of the Australian Steelers Team and is managing Goodwood Quality Meats, in Adelaide. Luke is passionate about his job and has been awarded best retail butcher shop four years running, what an achievement!
An Australian Steeler since 2017, has seen Luke travel to Wellington, Belfast, all across Australia and now the long-anticipated upcoming World Butchers Challenge in Sacramento.
Luke has leveraged the hype of the World Butchers Challenge to expand his experiences with the media, including radio and TV but also fronting local butchering demonstrations and teaching punters the art of making a great sausage from start to finish in his ‘Butcher’d Classes’.
